This collection has more of the Moulin Rouge elements that were asked of as the theme. However, I wanted to make it more avant-garde by experimenting with feathers. I was also inspired by the burlesque dance scene, by incorporating decorative bras, corsets, and skirts with flair and fluff. I was also inspired by cooler tones. When you think about Moulin Rouge or any burlesque-themed outfits, the color red comes to mind. Yes, there may be some red in this collection, but having blue and black be the dominant colors makes it more sensual, cool, and collected. The feathery bra is a fun acknowledgment of intimacy, combining delicate and wild elements. The corset, a form that appears frequently in the Moulin Rouge, represents both structure and sensuality: a way to hold and define yourself while remaining soft and feminine. The feathery cape worn by my male model was created as a purposeful call to push boundaries and rethink our roles in fashion, love, and entertainment. This is my way of expressing a visual dance called “Moments in Love”
